Most commonly asked questions

How can you run multiple classes at a park or school and sanitize every piece of equipment?

  • We have multiple sets of the gear we use in class, goals / cones / balls.

  • When one class is done, that gear gets packed up and a different set of gear is used for the next class.

  • At the end of each day every piece of gear is sanitized by A.P Soccer Academy staff.

How do you socially distance the children during class?

  • Coaches avoid high-fives, fist bumps, and unnecessary physical contact.

  • We make our soccer area large to accommodate our class size.

  • The soccer games we play have the children constantly 3-10ft away from each other at all times.

  • If the enrollment of a class passes 10 children, the class will be split in half as to make social distancing easier.

Do the coaches wear a mask? Do the children have to wear one?

  • Yes, All A.P. Soccer Academy employees are required to wear a mask at all times.

  • Yes, the children and parents do need to wear a mask, not only to adhere to county restrictions but also protect themselves and our coaching staff.

  • We try our hardest to have all soccer classes in the shade.

Do the children need shin guards and cleats?

  • Only our Premier program, ages 7-10, requires shin guards, cleats are optional but not necessary.

  • Both of our other programs, Little Kicks, ages 2, and Classic, ages 3-8, do not require cleats or shin guards.

What forms of payment do you accept so I can enroll my child?

Currently you must pay in person at the park on the first day of soccer classes.

We currently accept payment in the form of

  • Cash

  • Check - A.P. Soccer Academy

  • Venmo - @AP_Soccer_Academy

We are actively working on being able to accept payments through the website.

What happens if weather (Wind, Rain, Heat, Fires) becomes a factor? Will we cancel class?

  • Yes, you will be contacted via text message at least 90 minutes before the start of your class if A.P. Soccer Academy staff determines the weather conditions might not allow for us to play.

  • Another session will be added to the end of our season as a make-up class.

Do I need to bring anything additional for my child or myself?

  • Water bottle

  • Closed toe shoes

  • Chair or blanket to sit on as not every park has multiple benches available.

  • Face Mask

If you forget a mask, A.P. Soccer Academy staff can provide you with a sterile adult sized surgical mask for $5.

What is your minimum class size?

  • Each public group park class needs to have a minimum of 4 children enrolled before the first class of the season.

  • If insufficient children are enrolled in a session, the entire season for that session will be cancelled prior to the start of the season, and if possible the children will be merged into another session either directly before or after your original time slot.
